We are delighted to announce that Digital Commons by Bepress has been acquired by CCT College Dublin to showcase the intellectual output of our faculty and students and is due to be launched later this year. The College is just the second college nationally to acquire the platform after TU Dublin. The College’s institutional repository will be named the Academic Research Collection (ARC).

CCT College President Neil Gallagher commented in a recent Library Association of Ireland article that Digital Commons will be “integral to showcasing the calibre of faculty at CCT who are engaged in a wide variety of scholarly activity including the publication of peer-reviewed academic articles, book publication, conference chairing, conference presentations, poster presentations and more, nationally and internationally. Digital Commons will be equally important in showcasing high-quality research generated by students of the College as part of their academic studies.” Gallagher adds that there “is a rapidly expanding research culture at CCT College and that the dissemination of the institution’s intellectual output is extremely important in the context of the Government’s Strategy for Higher Education to 2030 which advocates that all higher education students learn in a research active and research informed environment.”
