Online retailer Amazon is to create 300 new jobs in Dublin over the next two years, the company announced today.
Amazon is looking to hire data centre technicians, software engineers and customer support staff, to be based in its office in Ballsbridge, Dublin 4.
The retail giant has had a presence in Ireland since 2004 and already employs 1,400 people here.
“We have been extremely impressed with the creativity and strong technical talent available in the country,” Amazon chief technology officer Werner Vogels said.
Taoiseach Enda Kenny was present at the announcement and said that “having a company of Amazon’s stature adding more jobs further strengthens our international reputation.”
