Programme Audience and Overview
AutoCAD is an increasingly critical skills component required of professionals working in industry. The college provides CAD Training to candidates from various disciplines including interior design, engineering, landscape design, architecture, retail design, shop-fitting and building services. Participants are expected to have a basic knowledge of computers. It is advisable to have access to the AutoCAD programme outside of class time for practice and can arrange a free student license for all attendees. This programme uses the most updated AutoCAD architecture software package. It provides a detailed understanding of 3D Modelling in this City & Guilds validated training. Prospective participants should have experience with AutoCAD 2D prior to undertaking the 3D course. During the CAD 3D course, it is advisable to have access to the CAD programme outside of class time for practice.
Programme Aims and Objectives
Upon completion of this course, students will have gained a detailed understanding in the use of World and User co-ordinate systems which are paramount in three dimensional CAD. Students will be competent in the manipulation and creation of objects within a three dimensional space. The college provides CAD Training to candidates from various disciplines including interior design, engineering, landscape design, architecture, retail design, shop-fitting and building services. CCT also offers courses in Adobe Photoshop to complement our CAD course offering. This programme prepares candidates for the City & Guilds Certificate in CAD 3D (7579-03) certification.

Assessment
The assessment for the course includes 2 practical assignments and one multiple choice test which is delivered online.
