Programme Overview and Audience
This course was developed as a follow on from the CCT Diploma in Web Design course. It explores a wide range of technologies and current best practices used in order to build and maintain highly interactive websites. This programme is designed to upskill students who are already proficient in building webpages and who are familiar with HTML and CSS. The course is designed to focus on advanced skills such as Advanced Website Design, Advanced CSS and JavaScript Programming, providing the essential programming skills required to enable students to develop highly interactive and functional websites. Students should have knowledge, skills and competencies equivalent to or above the qualification of FETAC Level 5 Certificate in Web Design component award, to register for the course.
Programme Aims and Objectives
Students will learn to build and deploy dynamic web applications that harness the powerful features of current scriping languages and standards. This course will expand your web design knowledge to an Advanced level. It will also improve your knowledge of client-side JavaScript programming, HTML, and CSS. This course requires strong commitment and involves extensive project work on behalf of each student. On completion of the course students will be competent in building secure, highly interactive websites, incorporating Search Engine Optimisation.

Assessment
To be awarded the Advanced Diploma in Web Design certification, a student will be required to complete course projects and reports, including creating a website project.
