A snapshot of part of the CCT Library, which boasts an extensive range of online Library resources, as well as actual texts and journals

The ‘Hume’ Library at CCT, is called after John Hume, the great Irish politician and peace activist from Derry, Northern Ireland.  John Hume was voted ‘Ireland’s Greatest’ in a public poll, organised by Irish National broadcaster – RTE, to find the greatest person in Ireland’s History.  He is certainly one of Ireland’s Greatest, being one of the architects of the Northern Ireland Peace Process, and recipient of the Gandhi Peace Prize, Martin Luther King Award, and the Nobel Prize for Peace.  He is an inspiration to all.

The Library and Information Service at CCT incorporates resources covering all main IT and Business areas and Schools of Thought, reflecting the academic focus of the college.  The library provides optimum facilities for undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Recently, CCT expanded and developed its Library resources.  In particular, the actual library collection has extensive resources in the areas of Programming, Databases, Network Management, Management Information Systems, Systems Analysis & Design, IT Business Management, Mathematics for Computing, IT Project Management, ICT Law, Network Security and Web Design & Development, along with Business subject areas such as: Leadership studies, Entrepreneurship and Globalisation, Strategic Management, Marketing, Operations Management, Strategic Finance, Strategic Legal & Social Issues, Strategic HR Management, Research Methodology and Statistics.

The Library provides access to information resources and areas for quiet study. Group study and Individual study areas are available to allow students to collaborate on joint projects and assignments. Other student facilities include access to past examination papers, past dissertations and lecturers’ notes.
