Quality Assurance
The College of Computer Training (CCT) has committed itself to embracing an inclusive Quality Assurance culture. As a private, further and higher educational and training institution, providing full-time and part-time ICT and Business programmes, CCT has developed a number of policies and put in place procedures to ensure these policies are effective and continuously improved.
It is these practical policies and procedures which form the basis of assuring quality at CCT.
As an independent, educational institution, providing full-time and part-time ICT and Business programmes, CCT has agreed its Quality Assurance policies and procedures with the Further Education and Training Awards Council (FETAC) and Higher Education and Training Awards Council (HETAC), to enable further and higher education and training programmes be validated by the Councils, and provided by CCT.
CCT also agrees its QA policies and procedures with any external awarding body as is necessary.
The current CCT Quality Assurance Handbook, details systematic quality assurance procedures for a range of data collection and analysis, identifies the appropriate forum for monitoring the data and requires both a recording of actions to be taken and a review of the effectiveness of these actions.
QA at CCT is based on the following principles and polices: Transparency & Accountability; Effective Communications; Equality; Access, Transfer & Progression; Effective Programme Design, Delivery & Review; Fair & Consistent Assessment of Learners; Protection of Learners; Self-Evaluation & Review; Learner Support and Service; High levels of Teaching & Facilities Provision; Learning resources; Staff Development; Continuous Improvement.
Please contact the college directly for details on the college Quality Assurance Manuals, which are available for reference in the CCT Library. Alternatively, the updated College Quality Assurance Handbook is available here for secure access by CCT staff and students.
