This course is suitable for users wishing to gain experience working with Adobe PhotoShop including in-depth knowledge of the application and its uses.
Course Overview
ADOBE PhotoShop is a highly recognised piece of software used for creating and editing bitmap images. This course uses practical exercises to teach students the functions provided by the PhotoShop application. The student will gain hands on experience using this powerful tool. The course looks at importing images of different types, with scanners and photo- CD right through to production considerations. Vast practical knowledge is gained from the hands on approach of this course. Students will possess the skills required to manipulate, create and doctor images suitable for publications or online websites.

Course Objectives
The course aims to teach students on the colour depth of a bitmap image, its resolution and file formats. Students will work with Photoshop palettes and understand how to use layers to their advantage. Overlaying images and techniques as well as text will also be dealt with. Understanding the use of masks as well as how to use the plugins and filters will be second nature to students.
