CCT College Dublin is delighted to once again be participating in Springboard+ and the Human Capital Initiative (HCI) Pillar 1 for this academic year 2023/24.  These courses will be 90% government funded for those who are already working or recent graduates, allowing employees to upskill in an increasingly digitised workplace and recent graduates the opportunity to specialise in an in-demand skills area.

These practical, industry-aligned programmes were designed and developed with Microsoft Ireland, and are ideal for those looking to up-skill or to re-skill into Computing and ICT and related roles.  CCT provides many additional supports to Springboard+ students including job-seeking/job moving skills training, and personal and professional development and life coaching workshops.

*The courses are free of charge to applicants who fall under the Springboard+ ‘returners’ category as well as ‘jobseekers’ and there is a 10% contribution fee for applicants who are in the ’employed’ category or recent graduates for the graduate conversion courses. The HEA will fund 90% of the fees for successful employed applicants and also eligible applicants who graduated from their undergraduate degree in 2022.

Speaking at the launch of Springboard+ 2023 on June 5th, Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science, Simon Harris said, “This is providing brilliant opportunities for people to upskill and reskill in areas of skills shortages, futureproof their career, and progress in, or re-enter the workforce. Most programmes are delivered either fully online or in a blended format making them fully accessible, meeting the rapidly-evolving needs of our economy and our commitment to lifelong learning.”

Alan Wall, Chief Executive Officer of the HEA, said: “2023 marks the European Year of Skills, where stakeholders across Europe will work together to promote investment in training and upskilling. In this important year, the HEA and the Higher Education providers are delighted to offer courses that will put reskilling and upskilling centre-stage.”
