Summer 2014 Taster Courses start at CCT

The summer taster course series began this week at CCT.

Secondary students from all across Ireland are studying intensive, three-week long courses on topics such as Software Development, Computer Networking, Mobile Development and Gaming.

The taster courses are provided completely free of charge by CCT, in order to give experience and insight into studying ICT at third-level.

Kyle Goslin, who is teaching the Web Development taster course, has put together a blog, which is kept constantly up-to-date, available here.

Some of the taster students are already working away on their assessments which for many (depending on the particular course) will hopefully lead to QQI (FETAC level 5) component certificates.

The students will also be sitting their Microsoft Technology Associate exams in August, after the in-class components of the courses are complete.
