Jobs boost for Dublin with 125 new tech roles

Dublin is to get 125 new jobs after announcements by two US technology firms today.

Internet advertising company Adroll is expanding its presence in Ireland and wants to hire 100 new staff.

The company established its European headquarters in Dublin last year and announced plans to recruit 120 employees within one year.

It has now moved to new offices and says it will hire 100 more staff, bringing its total headcount here to 220.

Adroll specialises in ad retargeting, which uses online information which retailers have collected on consumers to track them when they visit other websites and then encourages them to return and make additional purchases.

It currently works with 15,000 advertisers around the world.

The company said it was expanding its presence beyond its initial expectations in Ireland because of strong growth in demand for its services from advertisers.

Meanwhile, Californian based library technology company, Innovative, is to create 25 jobs by the end of 2015, bringing its Dublin workforce up to 50.

The expansion is being supported by the Department of Jobs, through IDA Ireland.

The company’s software is installed in academic, public and school libraries.

Taoiseach Enda Kenny said the jobs announcement is another vote of confidence in the country’s strengths as a location for investment.
